Dear Carmen,
One of the wonderful gifts I received through the MindLearners journey is to have met you, for sure! I am inspired by your strength, playful honesty, depth and courage, and by how kindly you are able to hold space for others and guide them closer to themselves, while being firm and caring.
Looking back at our journey over the past 4 months, I realised that one gift you are offering to others (so generously!) is simply through the quality of your presence. You have made me (and us) feel resourceful, seen and gifted, in a way which plants seeds of hope and trust for the kind of work we can do together. Thank you for showing me to a different manifestation of grace, simply by being you. And speaking of grace, I was thinking of this gift of yours when I read this poem by Joanna Macy:
"When you act on behalf
Of something greater than yourself,
you begin to feel it acting through you
with a power greater than your own.
This is grace.
Today, as we take risks
for the sake of something greater
than our separate, individual lives,
we are feeling graced
by other beings and by Earth itself.
Those with whom and on whose behalf we act
give us strength
and eloquence
and staying power
we didn’t know we had.
We just need to practice knowing that
and remembering that we are sustained

Thank you so much for this lovely gift and the inspiring poem! Being in your presence is like floating on calm waters, feeling still and, at the same time, seamlessly and naturally moving. Towards what? Probably, myself.
